Watch a Family Film

Thanks to entertainers and moviemakers around the world, there are lots of stories in movie formats that can keep your family together during the lockdown.

Netflix is one wonderful platform that has made the availability of quality movies possible for households across the world. If you have the right subscription, you will have access to so many family movies.

There are several other online options if you don't have a Netflix subscription. Whatever option works for you, make sure you have some excellent movie time with your family.

Try a Virtual Tour of Different Cities

If you and other members of your family love traveling and sightseeing, you can do a little bit of that this period.

You don't have to step out of your house to tour some prominent cities of the world: current technology has made a virtual tour of many cities possible.

From the comfort of your home, you can have a virtual tour of Rome, the Uffizi in Florence, the British Museum, and other places that may interest you. Google street view will let you walk through most cities.

Play a Board Game

Board games are always great for family time. If you have intelligent kids that have learned some of the educational games like monopoly or chess, you can enjoy several hours of board game during the lockdown.

If your kids haven't learned the games, it is time to teach them how to play. Be patient and loving as you play with the little ones.

Never force any game on anyone, but teach and play with them until they appreciate it.

Do Some Painting or Drawing

When last did you test your drawing or painting skills? You may be surprised that your little ones have better painting skills than you do. This is not something to be ashamed of. Try your best to improve and try to help those around you too.

If you have no clue how to start painting, there are great videos you can find on YouTube that will guide you to get started and improve. Make sure that every interested family member has access to such videos.

Host a Dancing Competition

This is one of the few things many never consider even when they are bored. Dancing is helpful in many ways. It is a physical exercise that can help you burn some calories, and it can make you feel good about yourself.

Children love to dance too. To make dancing a fun activity during the lockdown, organize a competition for your family members.

You can play some of the trendy tunes you know everyone enjoys and have a good little prize for the winner. Actually, there should be a reward for all the little ones to keep them motivated.

Try a Fitness Challenge

Are you already missing the gym? Do you want to emerge from the lockdown fitter and healthier? Then a fitness challenge is the best thing to enter.

You should also get your family members involved. They don't have to do as much as you will but should participate to the extent they want.

Even when someone is not too interested in a fitness activity, you can lure them by enlisting them as your accountability partners.

They should help you check if you are keeping to your routines, and you may be surprised that they will join you with time.

Cook With the Entire Family

Children love to help in the kitchen. They also need to learn how to fix some of the commonest meals, and there is no better time to teach them than now.

Get everyone involved in making some of your favorite dishes, and this can mean a lot of fun in the kitchen. This is also the time to try recipes you haven't tried before.

Challenge yourself and get everyone to be part of it. Search the internet for recipes and let everyone help out in the process of preparing something new for the family.

Engage In Few Outdoor Plays

Lockdown doesn't mean you can only be indoors every day of the week. If you are tired of staying and playing indoors, you can always step out for outdoor games with your family.

It is essential, however, that you play with your immediate family only. You also need to play within your premises. There are several outdoor games you can enjoy with your kids, but ensure that you prioritize safety while having fun.

Grow Your Own Vegetables

Gardening is one of the most productive outdoor activities you can enjoy during the lockdown. Growing your vegetables will be beneficial in many ways.

It will keep your children busy for a while, it will teach them valuable lessons, and it might save you some trips to the shop in the near future.

Get Everyone to Help Clean Up the House

Deep cleaning is another productive activity you can get everyone involved with. This is a good time to improve hygiene around the home, and everyone should be part of it.

Plan your cleaning schedule carefully and make sure everyone is involved. It can be a fun and educative engagement for your little ones. They will also feel good that they have been of help.

The lockdown may have its adverse effects on your life, but you shouldn't let it keep you down. You can keep your family happy by engaging in fun and productive activities.

You can add to the activities discussed here and have real fun with everyone in your household.
